Durham Park was established in 2006 by Bruce Edward on an undulating, sheltered 400 acre property at Durham Lead, 30 minutes south east of Ballarat. DURHAM PARK is a commercial standardbred breeding operation, currently with 35 highly credentialled broodmares, including 12 mares imported from the US, and 5 from New Zealand.
Durham Park is very proud of it’s record, with an 82% winner to foal ratio, including fifteen GROUP 1, winners, and prizemoney in excess of $15 million. Horses bred at Durham Park have won races in every state and in the US.
In 2023, Bruce decided to further pursue his passion for breeding quality horses, and added thoroughbred mares to the herd. To date he has purchased ten well bred mares, via Inglis On-line and the Sydney Chairman’s sale..
All yearlings bred at DURHAM PARK are available for sale, either privately to established customers, or at auction.
DURHAM PARK offers yearlings for everyone at reasonable prices. Ranging from some of the best imported bloodlines available in Australia through to good quality, reasonably priced local bloodlines, our aim is always to offer VALUE FOR MONEY.
DURHAM PARK offers Standardbred yearlings for sale at both the APG and NUTRIEN sales.
In the future all thoroughbreds will be offered at either Inglis Melbourne weanling and yearling sales, and in time at the Inglis Easter Sale.
